Lotos Yoga          Monday 8:30 a.m.
Mein Unterricht ist ein Mix, mal fließen wir sanft durch die Übungen, nutzen Yogahilfsmittel oder halten die Asana. Immer darauf bedacht einen Ausgleich für Körper und Geist zu schaffen. Achtsam zu üben und seine individuellen Grenzen zu akzeptieren, ist mir wichtiger als die Beine hinter dem Kopf zu verschränken. Korrekte Ausrichtung, Freude am Üben und aufmerksames Atmen sind Bestandteil meiner Stunde. Keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich.
Lotus Yoga
My teaching is a mix; sometimes we will flow gently, use props, or hold the asana. Always with the focus to keep body and mind in balance. Practice with awareness and accept that your personal limitations are more important than to criss-cross your legs behind your head. Class focuses on correct alignment, practicing with joy, and observing your breathing. No previous knowledge of yoga required.

Sunset Yoga          Monday 6 p.m.

We delve into the myriad benefits of yoga practice through basic pranayama (breathing practices); yoga sequences emphasizing alignment, breathing, and conscious movement; and reflection on yoga philosophy as it applies in our practice and in our daily lives. We strive to make each class a well-rounded session that leaves every participant feeling relaxed, renewed, and well-nourished in body, mind, and spirit. Moderate intensity; some knowledge of yoga helpful but not required.

GentleFlow Yoga          Tuesday and Friday 9 a.m.
Introductory level class, allowing for growth and variations as your personal practice progresses. Focus on principles of alignment in basic yoga poses. Introduction to meditation for stress reduction and introduction to yoga philosophy. No prior yoga experience necessary.

Prenatal Yoga                            Tuesday 6 p.m.

Prenatal Yoga will help your body handle its changes like your growing belly, ease increasing discomforts and help prepare your body and mind for labor. It will also bring mindfulness and awareness into how your body is changing on a daily basis. You will connect with your baby with meditation and breathing exercises. This class is designed to practice from the first day until the last day of your pregnancy.

Rest & Renew Yoga                Tuesday 7:30 p.m.

In this class you will find your "adult naptime." Each class starts with a "self-massage" using various-sized therapy balls to release the soft tissue. This allows you to completely relax and rest in the Restorative Yoga poses that follow. A class involved 3 to 5 poses, supported by props to hold the poses for 5 minutes and longer. By practicing stillness you will recharge mentally & physically.

Meditation & Yoga Philosophy      Wednesday 11:15 a.m.

Increase mindfulness in asana practice and daily life through sitting meditation and the discussion of yogic philosophy. We will begin with twenty-minute sittings, followed by reading the Bhagavad Gita. Feel free to come early to settle in and quiet mid-week fluctuations.

Ashtanga Yoga Level 1                     Wednesday 6 p.m.
begins April 18th

Ashtanga Yoga links postures with the movement of breath, bringing balance, strength, & flexibility to our physical, mental, & spiritual bodies. This is a more traditional yoga practice where a set of poses are given in a specific order. Classes begin with Sun Salutations then standing postures and end with some seated postures from the Ashtanga primary series. This is a great class for beginners and for more experienced students who wish to create a strong foundation by working on the basics.

Lunch Yoga                       Thursday 1:30 p.m.

Yoga am Mittag ist ideal, um den Kopf durchzulüften und Energien für die zweite Tageshälfte zu mobilisieren. Wir beginnen mit Dehnungs- und Entspannungsübungen in Yin Yoga, um Körper und Geist abzuschalten und neue Kräfte tanken zu können. Im anschließenden aktiveren Lotos Yoga wird der Kreislauf wieder angeregt, der Körper gekräftigt und die Haltung verbessert.

Yoga at noon is perfect to clear your mind and to mobilize energies for the second half of the day. To unwind body and mind, and to get new energy, we will start with stretching and relaxation poses in Yin Yoga, followed by a more active part in Lotos Yoga to strengthen and align the body.

Meditation, Ritual, & Energy        Thursday 6 p.m.

Primarily a meditation class. Each week we release into meditation and delve into elements of ritual practices. We will gain an understanding from the yogic perspective of the energy body through discussion, occasional light yoga, and other kinesthetic activities. We will explore how establishing a meditation practice, using simple ritual, and cultivating energetic balance can positively affect our health and vitality, while deepening our spiritual practices.

Saturday Morning Yoga          Saturday 9 a.m.
A silent space for meditation, contemplation, or rest greets those who come before the 9:00 start of our Saturday Morning practice. This class is designed to develop self-awareness through moderately challenging yoga poses & practices. We focus on strength, balance, and flexibility, within a framework of mental & emotional equanimity. Class begins with a brief meditation period and readings from yoga and other spiritual texts that encourage us to take our practice from the mat into the world. Suitable for people with a basic understanding & practice of yoga.

Restorative Yoga
first Sunday of the month
3 to 4:30 p.m.
with Clarissa

A retreat for your spirit! Relax & explore 4-5 yoga poses, completely supported by props, for a tranquil & rejuvenating practice. A Restorative practice facilitates healing on a deep, cellular level, calming the effects of stress & releasing mental & muscular tension. We will also discover the incredible healing benefits of Yoga Nidra, diving deep into relaxation. All levels welcome

Postnatal Yoga
first Thursday of the month
(rescheduled to April 19th)

Postnatal Yoga for new mothers will help you to have a healthy, vital, and strong body again. In this workshop, you will re-connect with your body and have the opportunity to connect with other moms. You will find quiet in meditation and in peaceful restorative poses during this busy time of your life. This workshop is designed for women six weeks to one year after giving birth. You should wait a minimum of six weeks after birth (eight weeks if you had a cesarean section) before you begin Yoga.

The Healing Powers of Sacred Sound
Sunday April 29th    3 to 4:30 p.m.

In this workshop, we will work with sacred sounds (mantras) within the kundalini yoga tradition. The workshop will include some breathwork & minimal light stretches, but will not be a movement-oriented workshop. We will experience working with & listening to our own authentic voice by chanting mantra together. (No prior chanting experience is necessary.) Participants will receive sound therapy from the gong's vibration for an extended portion of the class. The gong is a powerful instrument of healing and meditation, capable of releasing blocks within our physical & emotional bodies. All levels welcome.

Full Moon Workshop
Sunday April 29th    6 to 7:30 p.m.

Embrace the waves of the lunar cycle & align your yoga practice with nature's cycles. The Full Moon marks a peak of energy. With this increase of energy, we sometimes feel overstimulated or we have trouble sleeping. We also tend to be less grounded around the time of a Full Moon. During our workshop, we will concentrate on grounding poses to reconnect ourselves with the earth. By focusing on & working with our breath we can release what no longer serves us. Slowing the mind can help us feel calmer & sleep better.
